The liver detoxifies on its own. 'Detox' programs rarely do anything for it — but daily habits really can.
Diet
Cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage), beets, leafy greens, garlic and turmeric all support your liver's natural enzymes.
Limit alcohol
This is the single most impactful liver intervention for most adults.
Move
Exercise reduces liver fat — the most common liver problem of modern life.
Herbs with evidence
Milk thistle (silymarin) and dandelion root are the best-studied liver-support herbs — and both are gentle and well-tolerated.
Sleep
Your liver is most active at night, so late, alcoholic or heavy meals strain it disproportionately.
